Day 73
The day
A grower took one strain to generation 1.
5 of the 684 generated strains carried a name at the close of day 4.
The day
2 players discovered 2 strains between them.
Discovering a strain first gives you the right to name it. The name can follow whenever, from the Weedtimes Mag app on the in-game phone, and the strain stays without a name until it does.
A line was grown on the same day, at generation 1. That board stays open to somebody who arrived after every strain was discovered.
5 of the 684 generated strains carried a name at the close of day 3.

Tier3 of 5
Fadestyle was first to breed Ghost OG. 10 strains that read "??? x ???" before it can now be read by everybody.
A strain needs both parents discovered before anybody can go after it. That is why one discovery moves so much at once, and why the strain list fills in blocks rather than a row at a time.

The day
Fadestyle gave 4 permanent names.

A name in this post was removed after it was published. It is struck out rather than removed, and the figures are the ones that were true at the time.
Breaking
5 of the 35 starter hybrids are discovered. Each one makes the strains that need it readable for every player at once.
The starter strains are the map the whole strain list is drawn on. Discovering them is the slow half of this, and the half that helps everybody rather than only the person who did it.

Tier5 of 5six effectsDeepest strain yet
Fadestyle named Funky Boss. Tier 5 is the deepest the catalogue goes, and both parents of a tier-5 strain are themselves late in the tree.
Nothing about a tier is luck. Every strain behind this one had to be bred and grown before this pairing was possible at all.
Also in this post
Funky Boss is the first strain to carry six effects without a mixing station.
Breaking
Tier 5 is as deep as the catalogue goes. The strain stays without a name until they give one.
